Assessment

• This is where you access the online assessment. You may take this assessment in your own time, once you have studied the course content covered in each module. You should also ensure that you have read through the Rules and Regulations before you begin.

  Please read all the information below:

  • Time limit: 1 hour.
  • Paper length: 50 multiple-choice questions (all questions carry equal marks).
  • This paper is compulsory and you must attempt all questions.
  • Calculators are allowed.

  Preparation

  • It is recommended you find a quiet area where you will not be disturbed, with a reliable internet connection. If using a laptop or tablet, ensure it is connected to the mains.

  During the assessment

  • Once you start the assessment, you will see a timer showing the time remaining. You will not be able to pause the assessment. 
  • Read each question carefully and select your answer(s). Click ‘next’ to submit your answer(s) and move to the next question. Click ‘back’ to revisit previous questions and/or amend your answers.
  • Please note it is against the IDM Rules & Regulations to consult any person or resource (offline or online) to help answer the questions during the assessment. 

  End of assessment

  • After 1 hour, the paper will close and your answers will be submitted automatically.
  • If you wish to submit your paper before this time, you can, but you will not be able to amend your answer(s) thereafter.
  • Your score will be available immediately and the pass mark is 60%. 
  • Should you score below 60%, you may attempt the assessment again, taking the assessment up to a maximum of 3 times in total. If you need to retake the assessment, we recommend that you do not do so immediately. Revisit the module materials and any sections that you feel you need to study again.
  • When you click the link below, your assessment will start, so please make sure you are ready and have read all the instructions.  
  • By starting the assessment, you are confirming that you have read the IDM Rules & Regulations.
